Not So Far Away is a Star Wars zine that hopes to bring the far off galaxy a little closer to its readers. The zine is centered around the Star Wars universe rather than a specific film or series.  Over the years the Star Wars world has grown and expanded into a detailed universe.  Though the current canon is a bit chaotic, there’s still so much to explore.  Not So Far Away aims to highlight certain aspects of the Star Wars universe.  It’s meant to be enjoyable and comprehensible to everyone, from hardcore fans to casual enjoyers.  Though the zine could explore a variety of Star Wars centric topics in the future, the first edition shows different worlds within the Star Wars universe, from the well-known Tatooine to the more elusive Dathomir.  Each spread focuses on one planet, and features a visual representation, a short description, and three ‘attractions’.  All of Not So Far Aways’ visual graphics were spray painted in order to draw from the grungier side of Star Wars that we often see and the zine was printed on metallic silver paper.
